Samba – Successfully re-homed

  • Female
  • DoB Approx 2007
  • Large Pointer
  • Sterilized, Vaccinated, Microchipped, Passport
  • Samba had an owner but one that did not look after her well. Samba was lost in October 2012 and found the same day in a dreadful state. She was starved, covered in sores, her eyes were expressionless and obviously has had lots of pups. It was agreed with the owner she would be re-homed. Samba is a lovely, gentle girl but still bears both physical and mental scars. She finds it difficult to accept lots of fuss but will respond given time and lots of care. She loves to walk and to be safe. She has been tested for Leishmania and is negative.

Millie – Successfully re-homed

  • Female
  • DoB Approx 10/10/2012
  • Spanish Mastin Cross (Large)
  • Under treatment but when complete will be Sterilized, Vaccinated, Microchipped, Passport
  • Millie was left behind when her owners moved away. She was left in a garden without food and water and survived on bits of food the builder next door threw over the fence. Fortunately for Millie a lady heard of her fate and contacted Barney’s. When Millie came to us she was in a very poor condition, her ears had been completely cut off and she was covered in ticks. A blood test revealed Millie was suffering from Ehrlichia which is curable. She has also been tested and found to be negative for Leishmania. She is very gentle, friendly and gets on with other dogs and has the most doleful eyes which just melt your heart.
